WHICH CHARACTER WOULD YOU LOVE TO BE? HOW WOULD YOU CHANGE THE OUTCOME?

Boy its tougher thsn i though to get people to post here! Heres an interesting topic... Movie or book, is there a character which you would love to be? and would you change the outcome of the movie?I myself am loving the pirates of the carribean movies......so i would choose Elizabeth Swann( hmmmm wonder why?) and as for the outcome i need to think on how i would like the outcome to be different......
Though thats not exactly horror, and me being the Horrorlady and all... i should choose a horror book or movie right? I CANT at the moment think of a really strong butt kicking woman character except for Anita Blake so i'll choose her. Nothing like kicking butt and taking names. As for the outcome I definately would not get so romantically involved with the living dead......though it may be some peoples cup of tea i prefer the living!
So come on people i have confessed my love of the pirates of the carribean! Lets hear yours!

Hi, Lady,
I couldn't imagine to be a certain character in a movie - except maybe the vampire hunter or the humble hero who helps women in peril or dames in distress to fight evil. Other than that - well, I rather watch the movies or read the books and enjoy them.
But let me introduce myself first, if I may: I'm Pete, a 48 year old German, and I'm a freelanced writer and tutor. I've written nigh to 100 horror and western pulp novels (what you would call "dime novel" or "penny dreadfuls"), but all of them in German. Presently I'm working on a couple of movie scripts in English, both horror movies, and several movie fan books in German. Would love to translate horror novels by American writers into German but it's hard to get them published. Germany is not THE country for horror literature, you know?
I am a collector of classic TV shows of the 50s and 60s, classic martial arts and western films and of horror films. I've been a horror fan for many years but after taking a break from the horror genre I'm now into the films again. Many new productions out there, but alas, 8 out of 10 are stupid and not worth watching.
I also like American horror fiction, have collected about 300 Zebra horror novels (haven't read 'em yet, though) and most of William W. Johnstone's novels. I love his westerns and horror books, and actually it was Bill Johnstone's novel "The Uninvited" that drew me to US horror fiction, back in 1980.
Would love to discuss horror in film and literature. My most favorite character in horror films is the Vampire, but I like witches, monsters, teen slasher films, animal horror films, psychopathic killers like Jason Vorhees and Michael Myers, and demons. The only character in horror films I just don't like and can't stand are zombies. They are so...dull...
Oh, and I'm a long time fan of Chuck Norris; I also like Steven Seagal and Dolph Lundgren, though Chuck will always be my all-time favorite.
Well, that's it from me right now. Hope to hear from you soon or see you visiting my blog at yahoo 360 - my nick there is Lonewolf Pete.
Talk again soon
Pete

The guy from Thank You For Smoking. Hands down. What an amazing job that would be.

I'm gonna have to say I don't think I'd much like to be any horror fiction character. Something about living through that kind of atrocity just couldn't be good for mental fortitude. If I had to pick something I'd probably go for a Johnstone character though, since I tend to find myself agreeing with more or less all of his borderline militant views. At least if you're that kind of character you're guaranteed to be surrounded by guns. I definitely wouldn't want to be thrust into a Ruby Jean Jensen scenario. That lady had one cruel, cruel imagination - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I'd probably want to steer clear of The Hellbound Heart too. Something about having extra-dimensional beings ripping me to shreds with hooks attached to chains, I'm going to have to say no to that.

No matter what I was in, I'd change the outcome to me being healthy, wealthy and utterly satisfied. Oh, and if I was in a Johnstone book I'd go with something like a sense of closure instead of leaving it wide open for yet another run in with the Devil. Once, twice, maybe even thrice I could live with it, but after that I think I'd want to just settle down for a somewhat normal life.

Yes, yes and yes. Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal are great, or were. Steve's packed a few pounds and just looks fat and bored any more.

Tony Jaa's my action hero to watch now.

Oh, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) from Aliens, of course! Talk about kicking butt and taking names. Though totally outgunned, she never gave up and ultimately triumphed, without losing her sense of right and wrong and compassion. My favorite was the last movie where she has been cloned and the new alien is her child. When asked by someone who the hell she is, she replies "I'm the monster's MOTHER." She rules.

I would change ALL the endings so the monsters win. Dracula kicks Van Helsing's skinny butt, King Kong and Fay Wray live happily ever after, and I get to adopt the Werewolf. Down with mobs of peasants and their cursed torches and pitchforks!
